Esthetician License California

Growing up in a medical family meant that my exposure to healthy living started at a young age. Thank goodness I discovered ballet, as I was not athletic at all. After years of classical training, I went on to study at The Boston Conservatory and soon after earned my bachelors degree in dance. I then continued on to graduate school studying exercise physiology and community health. This background allowed me to share my knowledge as a professional in the corporate health and fitness sphere, as well as a community wellness coordinator at a non profit health agency, all in Los Angeles.

My journey has kept me in CA and I’m incredibly grateful I was able to raise my two daughters here in San Diego.  Through all of it…childbirth, raising children, menopause, overuse injuries, a herniated disc, autoimmune disease and approaching 60 soon, nothing has been as healing as Pilates.  My first year of doing the work took away a decade of back pain and I have not looked back. Being diagnosed with Sjogrens disease six years ago motivated me to make significant dietary changes, leading to remission where I remain today. The combination of Pilates and lifestyle changes has profoundly helped me overcome, adapt and adjust to the constant change our bodies go through.

Decades of experience with movement and health has all converged to create Upstream.  It is attainable for women of all ages, sizes and fitness levels.  Most importantly, I want to support you on your journey to feeling empowered, healthy and happy. .
